IPT Support Services

Over the past few years, deployment of converged – or IP-based – communications has accelerated dramatically, creating the need for additional technical expertise to provide Day 2 service and support. In response to this need, VITAL offers a combination of monitoring and operations services developed to support businesses with the day-to-day operation of their IPT networks.

VITAL’s IPT Day 2 support services are designed to support the Cisco AVVID IP Telephony architecture including Cisco CallManager and Unity convergence servers, Cisco IPT voice gateways, Cisco IPT toll bypass devices, Cisco IPT-enabled routers and switches, Cisco IP telephones, and Cisco Soft IP phones. These services are intended to be delivered in conjunction with an AVVID IP Telephony Certified Cisco Partner that will provide Plan, Design, and Implement (PDI) services.

VITAL’s IPT Day 2 support services combine a number of service elements to ensure the ongoing health and operation of your IPT network.

Fault Management: 24x7x365 up/down fault monitoring of the main SNMP-enabled elements in the IPT network including the routers, switches, voice gateways and convergence servers

IPT Performance Management: 24x7 performance management of the main SNMP-enabled elements in the IPT network plus detailed call quality monitoring, management and reporting to ensure consistent quality and performance of the network for voice and data services

Remote Telephone Support: 24x7 remote telephone support to answer technical questions and perform remote diagnostic and troubleshooting activities across all contracted components

Remote Critical Patch Upgrades: Remote critical patch upgrades to address known hardware/software issues released by the manufacturer

VITAL’s IPT "Day 2" services ensure all aspects of your IPT network are properly managed, so you can focus on running your business.

Businesses requiring additional assistance from VITAL, may also choose to have VITAL perform remote telephone MACDs and configuration management.

Remote Telephone Moves/Adds/Changes/Deletes (Soft MACDs): Remote logical MACDs for the customer’s IPT telephone environment (including the convergence servers and telephone handsets)

Configuration Management: Retrieval, authentication and archival of device configurations to identify and remediate potentially harmful issues
